How do I book a kids baking or cooking class?

You must select a kids baking or cooking class online here and make the payment upfront to secure a slot.

What is the duration of the classes?

The class duration is usually around 2-2.5 hours, depending on the class.

However, this may vary according to the class progress and might be extended during class.

Please refer to the specific class details for the exact class duration.

What is the age requirement for LUNA's kids class?

Our baking and cooking classes are suitable for kids aged 5 to 12 years old.

We have two age groups of classes:
Mini: 5-8 years old
Junior: 9–12 years old

What do I need to bring to attend the class?

Everything your child needs for the class (ingredients, equipment, apron and packaging) will be provided.

Will kids be learning in groups or individually?

At LUNA Kids, each kids' class is limited to a maximum of 8 participants so that each child gets sufficient attention and guidance during class.

Each child will have their own station and set of ingredients to work on, and will be expected to be hands-on during class.

Some steps that require the induction cooker (e.g. cooking jam or sauce) will be done in small groups so that instructors can assist them and offer safe guidance.

Are the kids required to clean up and wash the equipment during class?

No, your child is not required to clean up and wash the equipment during class.

How do I know if my booking is confirmed?


Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been made. You will receive an email confirmation as well.

Can I accompany my child to class?

Our classes are designed for kids only, so parents will not need to accompany their child to class.

If you'd like to join your child in the class, you may sign up and select the child + parent option to attend the class.

What will my child get after completing the class?

Kids attending our baking classes will be able to learn basic baking and decorating skills. Our kids cooking classes will teach basic knife skills and safety in the kitchen.

Apart from that, kids will learn:

  • Teamwork
  • How to follow instructions
  • Discipline
  • Social skills
  • Creativity

What tools and equipment are used in the classes?

In the baking classes, kids will learn to use tools such as whisks, spatulas, mixing bowls, and weighing scales. Additionally, they will learn to use equipment such as stand mixers and ovens.

In our cooking classes, kids will learn knife skills using plastic knives or scrapers to cut and prep the required ingredients.

To cook, the students will be using induction cookers, which are safe for use for children, and will be doing so in groups under our careful guidance.

Are the classes Halal?

Our kids baking and cooking school is not Halal certified. However, we do not use any lard, pork or alcohol in our classes.

What if my child can't attend a booked class?

If your child is unable to attend their baking or cooking class for any reason, please find a replacement (another child aged 5-12 years old) for the same class slot and advise us of their name and contact details in advance.

Cakes FAQs

How do I arrange pickup or delivery for the cake?

Cake pick up can be arranged during our opening hours. Please Whatsapp us to make arrangements.

Alternatively, cake delivery can be arranged. Extra charges will apply based on the delivery location. Please Whatsapp us to discuss delivery for the cake before ordering.

How many days must I order the cake in advance?

Please order your cake at least 3 days in advance.

Are the smash cakes and birthday cakes Halal?

We use certified Halal ingredients for all our smash cakes and birthday cakes.

Are your smash cakes and birthday cakes suitable for vegetarians or vegans?

All our smash cakes and birthday cakes for babies are vegetarian-friendly.

However, they contain eggs so they will not be suitable for vegans.

Are your smash cakes and birthday cakes allergy-friendly?

All our smash cakes and birthday cakes for babies are nut-free.
